There’s a lot to love about Bude. With a laid back allure all of its own, and so much to see and do, there is something for everyone. From romantic breaks to fun-filled family holidays, we promise you will leave happy, relaxed and stress free! Bude is repeatedly named (via public vote) as the Best UK Coastal Town winning a series of Silver and Gold awards in the British Travel Awards. We have our own Sea Pool, our beaches have Blue Flag and Seaside Awards and Bude has very recently been in the news for leading the way environmentally. Where the country meets the coast, this unspoilt small seaside resort offers a good choice of attractions, adventure parks and activities to enjoy whether you are seeking a relaxing few nights away by the sea or a longer family holiday. Ramblers, riders, surfers and swimmers flock to our sunny, spotlessly clean beaches (all rated as Excellent under new European standards) and wild coastline. However, a little-known secret is that Bude’s also fabulous for secluded golf courses and brilliant sea and coarse fishing. There are plenty of wonderful walks along the river, canal or the South West Coastal Path (all within very easy walking distance from the apartment), along with excellent golf, fishing, cycling, bird watching and horse riding. For the small ones Bude Sea pool provides safe swimming with lifeguards.
Bude is a little town with a thriving cultural hub. We have great restaurants to tempt, pubs to welcome and a host of independant shops to explore. Everyone who visits remarks on just how friendly everyone is. People will say hello and welcome you, your children, your dogs, your grandparents with a smile wherever you go. We have dog friendly beaches, some free every day of the year.
If it's your first time to Cornwall you may want to explore a little further and even cross the border to Devon!
Nearby attractions include Clovelly, Lundy Island, Eden Project, Tintagel, Boscastle and Bodmin Moor all within a forty five minute drive away.
We moved to Bude 14 years ago to enjoy a slower pace of life and spend more quality time outdoors with our children. It was the best thing we ever did, in fact we still feel like we're on holiday most days! Surfing, long walks and bike rides are the norm. BBqs on the beach with friends in the summer, cozy nights in the local pubs in the colder months and just feeling part of such a welcoming environmentally aware community makes us feel alive and part of something great.
We look forward to welcoming you to Beautiful Bude!
